What Paw Parents Say

FAQ

1. What size cats does this heated cat house fit?

Medium measures 17" × 13" × 17.1", while Large measures 25.6" × 16.5" × 18" and can fit up to 1–3 cats, depending on their size.

2. Where is the best place to put an outdoor cat house?
Place it in a quiet, sheltered area such as covered porch, garage, barn, or protected corner of the yard, away from strong wind and direct rain.

3. Can this outdoor cat house be used in rain or snow?
Yes. Its weather-resistant exterior, elevated base, sheltered entrance, and extended roof help protect against rain, wind and snow.

4. How warm does the heating pad get?
The heating pad surface reaches approximately 100°F–130°F (38°C–54°C) to provide a warm resting area during colder weather.

5. How much power does the heating pad use?
The Medium uses 18W, while the Large uses 22W, providing warmth with relatively low power consumption.

6. Can I use the cat house without turning on the heating pad?
Yes. The insulated construction helps retain natural body warmth, so the house can also be used as an unheated outdoor shelter.

7. Why does the cat house have an escape door?
It gives cats an alternate exit if they feel threatened or the main entrance becomes blocked, which is helpful for stray and feral cats.

8. How can I encourage a stray or feral cat to use the house?
Place the shelter in a quiet location and give the cat time to explore it naturally. Familiar scents, catnip, or food placed near the entrance may help encourage use.
